Questions and Answers:
1. How do I post an ad?
First, log in. If you do not want to register use User Name: guest and Password: guest. If you would like to register simply click on register and set your user name and password.
Once you are logged in, click on the university, then click the section you wish to place an ad to and click ‘POST AN AD ’. Fill the form and click ‘ok’, then you are done.
Due to some not so appropriate pictures posted in the past, we approve each ad. We check throughout the day, and guarantee your ad will be up within 24 hours, but it usually only takes 1 or 2.
2. How do I edit my posting?
To modify or delete your posting, simply log in, click on your ad, and click modify or delete. All modified ads must be reapproved.
3. What kinds of postings are acceptable?
If your posting helps accomplish University Renter’s goal, to inform viewers so they may make informed decisions on where to live, it is acceptable. We reserve the right to make this determination.
4. Registered, but forgot your password?
To obtain your password, simply click login then click ‘I have forgotten my password, send me a new one by email!’, enter your e-mail, and the password will be e-mailed to you.

Because we allow users to use a guest login, the most reliable way to reply to an ad is to use the information provided in the ‘Contact Info’ section of the ad.
6. Who should I expect to reply to my ads?
University Renter ’s main target audience is college students, as you can tell from the name. We also advertise in the non-college arena, so this generates a diverse pool of viewers. Other than college students, many young professionals who work around the universities listed view this website for housing information.
7. How much does it cost to post an ad?
This is free. University Renter does not charge a fee to post and ad or reply to an ad. The main goal of UniversityRenter is to communicate information, and charging a fee would be a hindrance to our mission.
8. How does UniversityRenter make money?
The short answer is we don’t. We have a low amount of revenue from our Google Ads, but they do not cover our cost. This purpose of this site is not to make money, it is to distribute information on housing, to allow students to make informed decisions.
