About NCSULiving.com

NCSULiving.com was founded by Sir Joe and Sir Billy sometime late in the fall of 2005. The idea for the site was spawned by the two’s frustration with obtaining information about housing around NC State (southwest Raleigh). Many of the area’s living communities did not have websites, or did not give the information people really wanted on their website (usually very attractive, with no “real” information). Additionally, both had searched for roommates and become very dissatisfied with the outlets available to perform this search.

To solve this problem, the two set out to develop a website that would display housing information for the NC State area. This website would have information on all apartment communities in the NC State area; if there wasn’t already a website for a place, then we would make it. The idea was to provide all this information and also an open forum that dealt with all issues related to off-campus housing. It was agreed that the site would include pages for various underserved communities, provide a complete list of sites that give needed information, have a way for people to communicate, and be both free and easy to use. Providing reliable key information was the main goal, not beauty and artistic talent. If you somehow find any beauty and/or artistic talent on this website, that’s just the icing on the cake.
